These simple Vedic Maths tricks are so effective they feel like magic. Master them, and you'll be able to solve everyday math problems in your head, faster than you can type them into a calculator.
Simply add the neighbouring digits. For a number like 243 x 11, the answer is 2(2+4)(4+3)3 = 2673.
Use the 'All from 9, Last from 10' rule. To subtract 543 from 1000, do (9-5)(9-4)(10-3) = 457.
For 65², multiply the first digit (6) by the next number (7) to get 42, and append 25. The answer is 4225.
To find 25% of 68, reverse it: find 68% of 25. Since 25 is 1/4 of 100, the answer is simply 68/4 = 17.
Quickly verify any calculation. For 32 x 12 = 384, the digit sums are (3+2) x (1+2) = 5 x 3 = 15 => 1+5=6. The answer's digit sum is 3+8+4 = 15 => 1+5=6. It matches!
